Through its agricultural program WOLEO gives Dzaleka refugee camp women and orphans the chance to develop agricultural skills while adopting sustainable farming practices. The program improves food security while granting economic independence to participants through education and provision of land and important resources. Partners acquire contemporary agricultural practices plus irrigation systems and organic farming methods to enhance their farming yield. WOLEO promotes agribusiness development through its beneficiary programs so they can earn money in local markets. The initiative builds community resilience while it promotes self-sufficiency and environmental stewardship which together improve nutrition as well as community resilience. WOLEO’s mission of empowerment finds expression through this initiative which provides vulnerable individuals skills and resources for fostering sustainability.
The agricultural program at WOLEO delivers instruction on modern farming along with irrigation methods and livestock care combined with organic agriculture training and agribusiness knowledge and environmental protection techniques and markets for sustainable economic growth.
